Ruben Dias has been a vital player for Manchester City during his time at the club.

The Manchester club paid £65m to sign the defender from Benfica back in the 2020 summer transfer window.

Since then, the 27-year-old has made 178 appearances for City across all competitions, chipping in with four goals and five assists along the way.

Having won numerous domestic and European trophies during his time with Pep Guardiola’s side, Dias has undoubtedly been a key figure in the club’s successes in recent years.

In fact, Oscar Bobb recently named the centre-half as the best trainer in the City squad due to his elite mindset.

With four seasons now under his belt as a City player, the Portuguese international has now taken the time to reflect on his time at the Etihad Stadium ahead of the upcoming season.

Ruben Dias shares what his best performance for Man City has been

Appearing in a recent video shared on the Fubo YouTube channel, Dias was involved in a quickfire Q&A about his career.

When asked to name what his best performance has been, the defender responded with this.

He said: “The [Champions League] final against Inter Milan.”

Dias was vital in the Champions League final

Looking back to the final in Istanbul which saw City win their first Champions League title and secure the Treble, Dias showed how much of a top player he is.

Specifically, the defender made five clearances, two tackles and one interception in addition to winning 10 of the 16 duels he was involved in.

This display ultimately earned Dias an overall match rating of 7.4/10 from SofaScore, making him the third-highest-rated City player on the day behind Ederson (8.1/10) and Rodri (7.9/10).

So purely from a defensive point of view, it’s easy to see why Dias considers this to be his best performance in a City shirt, especially given how important of a match it was for the club.
