Manchester City haven’t had a great season, but it looks as though they have what it takes to make the top four at least.
The Citizens currently sit fourth in the Premier League table, having won five and drawn one of their last eight games.
In addition, Manchester City remain in the FA Cup and will be favourites to beat Plymouth Argyle in their fifth-round clash at the Etihad Stadium.
Shaun Wright-Phillips believes the Citizens have also been boosted by one of their key players looking like he’s “back to his best”.

Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson ‘back to his best’
The player in question is Ederson, who delivered one of his better performances of the season in the midweek win over Tottenham Hotspur.
Ederson was alert to tip a Kevin Danso header over the bar late in the first half before standing tall to deny an improved Spurs in the second half.
The £35million man pulled off a particularly impressive late stop to deny Son Heung-min and help Pep Guardiola’s side to all three points.
“For me it looked like he was back to his best in many ways,” Wright-Phillips said on Matchday Live on Man City’s YouTube channel.
“The saves he had to make, a lot of them were reaction saves, he had to be quick, he saw the ball late almost every time. He did well.
“The one that worried me was when it came back into the middle of the goal, but Ruben (Dias) was alert enough to get rid of it.”
What has been said about Ederson’s future at City
While it’s good to see Ederson looking back to his best, it remains to be seen what his long-term future involves.
Incoming sporting director Hugo Viana’s priority is to extend Ederson’s contract.
However, there have been no indications suggesting that the Brazil international will prolong his City stay.
Fabrizio Romano recently claimed that Ederson remains in line to leave City this summer.
“What I’m hearing is also for Ederson, there is a concrete possibility to go in the summer,” Romano said on his YouTube channel.
“He was close to Saudi last year, then the deal collapsed but now Ederson remains one of the players who could leave the club in the summer transfer window.”
