Simon Jordan has weighed in on the latest Man City ticket debate, with some rather brutal words of advice for Pep Guardiola and the supporters too.
Manchester City fans protested at the 2-0 win over Leicester City in midweek, missing the first nine minutes of the game to make their feelings know about the latest news regarding tickets.
Recently, Man City announced they had partnered with Viagogo in a move which sparked uproar on social media with Man City fans now fearful that they’ll continue to be priced out of games at the Etihad.
There’s also concerns about away fans now buying tickets in the home end and season ticket prices increasing as general ticket prices likely rise up.
Speaking this week, Pep Guardiola sided with the Man City fans, saying: “Football clubs belong to the people and if the people don’t agree with something… they can legitimately express concerns with the club. And the club is open, listening to them, arriving in agreement so everybody can be satisfied.
“Imagine going to the stadium with no fans, it would make no sense. Our job would make no sense, close the door. Of course I have sympathy. They can express freely what they want. The club don’t take it [this issue] for granted.”

Simon Jordan calls Man City fans ‘nauseating ingrates’ over ticket protests
Speaking to Jim White on talkSPORT, Simon Jordan has weighed in with his verdict on the whole situation, siding with the Man City owners who he thinks deserve more respect for giving the club so much success in this modern period.
Jordan first said of Pep’s comments on the matter: “I think Pep Guardiola should be supporting the owners and their views, and I think the fans have every right to express theirs, but is there one ownership model that you can suggest hasn’t got enough currency to be able to make decisions and have the fans accept some of them?
“This football club has been built, or rebuilt, and its achievements that it has never had in its history before, despite the fact it had great moments with Joe Mercer and Malcolm Allison back in the late 60s, this club has been created by the determination and the wealth of Sheikh Mansour… so when you make a decision that people don’t like, how can it be that you take all the good things that you think are wonderful, you’ll have all those, and when someone makes a decision that you don’t like, you protest and vacate the building.”
White then said: “Just because they’ve brought the club success, doesn’t mean the fans don’t have a right to protest,” to which Jordan responded: “What a bunch of nauseating ingrates then.”

How many Man City fans are going to the Man United game on Sunday
On Sunday, Man City fans get a welcome break from all this outside noise with an exciting Manchester derby at Old Trafford.
Pep will be looking for revenge after United beat City at the Etihad earlier in the campaign. And the City boss will be excited, and unsurprised, that Man City fans have sold out their allocation of 3,009 for the game at Old Trafford.
Despite rising ticket prices pretty much countrywide, Man City fans still follow their team on the road. But at home, the atmosphere could quickly turn extremely sour of the club doesn’t act to keep the longstanding and loyal Man City fans content.
