‘The club really don’t care about us’… Man City fans gutted after what the club has just announced

As if the going wasn’t already tough for Man City fans, the club has just announced news that has upset even more.

Manchester City fans have little to cheer about right now. They’ve been knocked out of the Champions League, are 22 points behind leaders Liverpool in the Premier League table, and they look set to say goodbye to some key players this summer, with Kevin De Bruyne among those likely to leave.

Although there could be brighter times on the horizon, many fans are suspecting that the turnaround is going to be a long and arduous process for Pep Guardiola, whose side drew 2-2 against Brighton in their last outing and next play Bournemouth in the FA Cup.

Man City announce Viagogo ticket partnership

And ahead of the game at Bournemouth, Man City have announced that they’ve agreed a ‘multi-year partnership’ with ticketing giants Viagogo, in news that has really gained a lot of attention on social media from both City fans and football fans.

For once, football neutrals are feeling sorry for the City faithful who themselves are angered by the news, fearing that they could now find it even more difficult, and even more expensive to attend Man City games.

“How embarrassing,” said one City fan on X. Another added: “This is the final nail in the coffin.”

Other comments range from: “The club really don’t care about us anymore,” and even: “Genuinely can’t see myself ever going to a game again,” with City fans seemingly all agreeing that the club is just heading in the wrong direction with this one.

“Shocking decision,” posted one. “Becoming unrecognisable to its proper fans this club,” said another, whilst a similar comment read: “Completely tone deaf, and a slap in the face to loyal fans.”

One City supporter even posted: “I’m excited to be pushed out of the stadium long term so the club can replace me with an international consumer.”

Man City ticket prices vs the rest of the Premier League

Compared to the rest of the Premier League, Manchester City don’t have that expensive of a matchday ticket, although in the grand scheme of things, £43 to simply attend a football match is steep no matter where in the world it is.

Fans are more worried about the potential for ticket touting with City partnering up with Viagogo, which could then in turn see ticket prices fly through the roof.
