Bernardo Silva scored twice as Manchester City defeated Newcastle United to reach the FA Cup semi-final, and Danny Murphy could not hide his admiration for the player during the win.
City are still on course for another Treble, as they swept aside the Magpies.
It was 2-0 in the end, but it was a comfortable evening for Pep Guardiola‘s side, despite the injury absence of Kevin De Bruyne.
Phil Foden stepped up against with another top performance, but it was Bernardo who got the goals for City and was decisive.
The Portuguese maestro shone, and Murphy dished out some really nice praise during yesterday’s game…
Danny Murphy names a heartwarming claim about Manchester City star Bernardo Silva during Newcastle win

Bernardo played wide right yesterday and was just a menace for Newcastle.
He and Kyle Walker linked up really well, with the 29-year-old getting both of his goals in the first-half.
They were both deflected, but Bernardo made his own luck with another top display.
Guardiola was delighted with his display after the game and again stated that he would like Bernardo to stay at the club for as long as possible.
Shortly after he scored his second goal, Murphy – who was commentating for the BBC – raved about Bernardo. He said: “I think he will be somebody loved, remembered and cherished more when he’s gone, rather than while he’s here. A little bit, yeah (like David Silva).
“He is so intelligent, and somebody who can play anywhere on the football pitch without a problem.”
What a player
Murphy may well be right here with his assessment of Bernardo Silva.
City fans absolutely adore him and have done from the moment he joined the club from AS Monaco for £43 million.
But he is still perhaps not held in the game regard as the likes of Kevin De Bruyne, Rodri, or academy product Phil Foden.
But he is a truly incredible player, and it’s very possible City fans will think of him like they now think of David Silva, once he has moved on.
He just does all facets of the game to the highest standard, and is simply one of the club’s greatest signings since the 2008 takeover.
