It has now been reported that Manchester City and RB Leipzig are edging closer towards agreeing a fee for the transfer of Josko Gvardiol.

It seems like the agreement in reaching closer and closer for Josko Gvardiol to eventually become a Manchester City player.

It has been previously revealed that the Sky Blues intend to ‘intensify’ their pursuit to sign the Croatian international, with an £85 million price tag quoted in the report.

The 21-year-old is rightly regarded as one of the most promising young central defenders in the world, with Zlatko Dalic already branding him as the best in the world.

Now, it has been reported that Manchester City are ‘speeding things up’ to sign Josko Gvardiol, with an agreement over a final fee ‘reducing’ between both them and RB Leipzig.

It has also been claimed that at this stage, the treble winners are ‘not so far’ away from reaching an agreement over securing his services.

In addition, Gvardiol is also keen on joining City, where he would likely sign a contract until 2028.

Proof of the relentless force that is Manchester City

Just off the back of winning the lot, Manchester City remain unrelenting in their pursuit of continued success, as they seem immensely proactive in their attempts to sign Josko Gvardiol.

One may perhaps not fault the English juggernaut for putting their feet up after what has not just been an incredibly fruitful campaign but also a long and taxing one.

However, complacency and Manchester City is an oxymoron and it seems like the club intend to capitalise on Pep Guardiola’s presence by stocking their trophy cabinet with more silverware for years to come.

At the end of the day, it is this uncompromising attitude in all departments that stems within the Sky Blues camp that separates them from the rest.
