Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher has admitted he was surprised to see that Erling Haaland has missed the most big chances in the Premier League.
Haaland had one of his most frustrating outings in a City shirt on Saturday against Chelsea in the 1-1 draw.
The Norwegian sensation had nine shots against the Blues, but finished the game without a goal to his name.
Three of those were big chances, and fans couldn’t quite believe he didn’t take at least one.
Haaland’s struggles meant that City were only able to take a point at the Etihad, making this evening’s clash with Brentford even more important.

Perhaps inevitably, Carragher spoke about Haaland on Monday Night Football after his performance against Chelsea.
Having nine shots and not scoring was always going to draw attention, but City fans will be confident that Haaland can bounce back.
He has a very strong mentality, and Jesse Marsch has said that he will have been working on his heading in training, especially after the weekend.
On Haaland being the player with the most big chances missed in the Premier League this season, Carragher said on MNF: “On the back of the game we didn’t expect to see Erling Haaland at the top of that.
“But we also should caveat that from the fact that Man City create more chances than anyone else but it was a surprise to see him in that position.”
Haaland is allowed an off day
While it was frustrating that City dropped points against Chelsea and that Haaland seemingly left his shooting boots at home, fans cannot be too annoyed at the 23-year-old.
He has been incredible since he arrived from Borussia Dortmund, and games like against Chelsea can happen to even the very best players.
We must not forget that Haaland hasn’t long been back from injury.
The £51 million ace is probably still lacking a bit of match sharpness, and needs to get back into the swing of things again.
