It has been reported that Pep Guardiola himself has been surprised by how quickly Jeremy Doku has adapted to life at Manchester City.

This comes from journalist Jack Gaughan, who made this revelation after the £55.5 million (Sky Sports) man’s stunning performance in his side’s 3-1 victory against West Ham United.

Much like a majority of Manchester City fans, Pep Guardiola too seems to have been shell-shocked by how ready Jeremy Doku already looks.

Journalist: Pep Guardiola surprised by how quickly Jeremy Doku has adapted to life at Manchester City

Branded as ‘incredible’ by the Spanish tactician himself, the 21-year-old was expected by many to take time to settle to the City way, as has been the case with a number of new signings in the past, especially out wide.

But the Belgian winger put every doubt to bed with his masterclass against West Ham, toying with defenders, exhibiting his sublime dribbling, retaining the ball well and scoring a wondrous goal.

It has now been revealed that the manner in which Jeremy Doku has kickstarted his Manchester City career ‘surprises [Pep] Guardiola.’

In fact, it was claimed in a report by the Daily Mail that the youngster has managed to stun the treble-winners as a whole with his instant level of readiness.

Additionally, the Catalan boss was also believed to be impressed by how Doku responded to his error that led to the Hammers’ opener.

Jeremy Doku is only getting started

It is testament to how sparkling Jeremy Doku has already looked in a Manchester City shirt that Pep Guardiola himself has been surprised by his quality.

As exceptional a display as it was from Doku, he still showcased some rawness to his game, which is only natural for a young player.

Fortunately for the former Rennes wideman, he has Pep Guardiola to watch his every move closely and give him the required feedback to elevate his game.

With Jeremy Doku already looking tailor-made for Premier League football, the sky is well and truly the limit for him at Manchester City.
