Enzo Maresca, who has now been appointed as the brand-new Leicester City manager has lavished praise on to Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola.
As relayed by Football Italia, the Italian coach was quizzed about working with the Spaniard.
Unsurprisingly, Enzo Maresca lauded Pep Guardiola after their time as colleagues came to an end at Manchester City.

Ilkay Gundogan also claimed that in his opinion, the Catalan tactician, who said that his legacy at the Sky Blues is ‘exceptional’ via Fox Sports is the greatest manager that he has ever seen, at least in his lifetime.
Now that Guardiola has become the only coach to have won two trebles, this conversation has only increased in the past couple of days.
According to Enzo Maresca, however, looking at the current state of managers, he believes Pep Guardiola towers above the rest.

“The best coach in the world, an inimitable conductor. In his orchestra every musician is fundamental, from the first violin to the one who holds the cymbals and makes them play once a concert. And that’s not a catchphrase, no”, Enzo Maresca said about Pep Guardiola.
The Foxes boss continued, “Pep cares that everyone feels at ease, that they feel part of the orchestra and play to the best of their ability, whether they are a footballer or the newest member of the warehouse.”
“Harmony is an absolute concept that clothes the entire group, the sublimation, or the most visual part, is what is conveyed on the pitch, ideas of play and putting a footballing ideology into practice, but underneath there are very deep roots that lie on the human and emotional level.”
“Guardiola involves everyone equally, including coaches.”
Pep Guardiola is in a league of his own, especially in today’s day and age
While there may be a debate about whether Pep Guardiola is the greatest coach of all time, Enzo Maresca is right in implying that amongst active managers, he is the best of the best.
In terms of how Guardiola can create tactical solutions out of nowhere, his talent identification and the style of play that he implements, no manager in the world even comes close to him.
Season in, season out, the Manchester City icon continues to prove why he is one of, if not the most complete coach to have ever graced the game.
