Manchester City fans were left absolutely gutted when Oscar Bobb suffered a leg fracture at the start of the season.

The Norwegian gem had been all set to shine for Manchester City in 2024/25, after impressing in every game of the club’s pre-season trip to the US.

Joleon Lescott actually said Bobb was City’s standout performer out in the States.

Oscar Bobb then shone against Manchester United in the Community Shield.

But just days before City’s first game against Chelsea in the Premier League, Bobb sustained a fractured leg in a training session.

It was so untimely, and cruel on a player who had looked so promising in the weeks prior.

Fans were left gutted by news of Bobb’s fractured leg, and his absence has arguably stung for City this season with the forward players failing to deliver consistently.

But there is good news today regarding Bobb.

Bobb was not involved for City against Brighton on Saturday, with some wondering before the game if he would be included in the squad.

There was no sign of him, but today the starlet has been involved in the U21s game with Crystal Palace in PL2.

Bobb started the game for City.

He played for just over an hour for the EDS, before being replaced by Michael Okeke, in what was a pre-planned change.

What Pep Guardiola has said about Oscar Bobb’s return from injury

City fans can hopefully expect Bobb to feature a fair bit after the international break.

The youngster now has PL2 minutes under his belt, and will surely be stepping up his recovery and fitness over the next two weeks.

Bobb was left out of Norway’s squad, so that will give him a chance to step things up back at the CFA.

Guardiola is hopeful over Bobb, saying of the player’s return ahead of yesterday’s 2-2 draw with Brighton: “He’s training now regularly and feels really better. He played a friendly game yesterday with the second team because he has to be on the pitch.

“It’s difficult for me because all the people up front are available. We want to bring him some minutes and that’s why it’s going to happen. It’s difficult to dictate how he feels just in training.

“It’s good to see for himself in his mind he’s fine and perfect and that he can do what he wants to do. Then he will have the same chances with the other ones to be in the team.”
