Manchester City are expected to make a number of sales in the coming weeks, but Ederson will not be departing.
Pep Guardiola and Hugo Viana made a bullish start to the summer so far, with four new faces arriving before the Club World Cup got underway.
Marcus Bettinelli, Rayan Cherki, Rayan Ait-Nouri and Tijjani Reijnders all came in, with City only forking out just over £100 million for the quartet.
And three of those players have already made their debuts.
Man City fans felt Rayan Ait-Nouri had an especially strong debut against Al Ain.
But Cherki and Reijnders have both drawn big praise from fans out in the US.
City will soon sell some players in order to ensure the squad is trimmed to Guardiola’s liking.
But one man who will not be going anywhere is Ederson, who has today denied speculation suggesting he could be on his way out of the club.
Fans react as Ederson declares he is staying at Man City

£35 million man Ederson (BBC) won’t be going anywhere this summer, as he rubbished claims of a potential departure.
He said: “No, no, no. My future is here.
“Some friends send me a lot of news, but 99% is fake news. I understand, but there’s a lot of fake news around my name.
“My head is staying at the club. It stays with the City. It gives me everything to go back to the Premier League again and try to win the Champions League as well.”
It means that Ederson now stands to play his ninth season at the Etihad Stadium, and fans have reacted positively to the Brazilian’s comments today.
@Younous16440997: “I’m glad he’s staying man.”
@JakePritchardFC: “I’m happy Ederson’s staying tbf, there’s no other perfect ball playing GK & shot stopper like him.”
@Mcfc_icn: “That’s big news. We simply can’t let go of all experience at once.”
@Bradmcfc500: “Perfect news to wake up to!”
Ederson decision surely ends Man City Diogo Costa transfer pursuit
With Ederson declaring he is staying, this undoubtedly means that City will not be signing Diogo Costa from Porto.
It was suggested a couple of months ago that Costa had actually agreed to join Man City this summer, with a £64 million transfer mooted.

But Ederson’s stance is clear – he’s staying put, and he will not be staying to sit on City’s bench.
It will be interesting to see if Costa makes a move elsewhere.
It’s actually been suggested that Manchester United are interested in Costa, and so the Red Devils may look to swoop, knowing that City are now out of the race.
Of course, there have been major question marks over Andre Onana, and Costa would be an undeniable upgrade.
