Manchester City have finally announced the long-awaited signing of Savio from ESTAC Troyes.
Pep Guardiola’s side finally have their man, who has been signed for an initial £21 million fee, with the add-ons making it a deal worth £33.6 million — as per Fabrizio Romano.
Savio was spotted in Manchester’s Harvey Nichols store — as it became a giveaway that he was in the city to sign for the club based in the blue side.
The 20-year-old’s addition means that Manchester City have signed a natural winger in their last two summer windows; bringing Jeremy Doku in from Rennes last season.
However, Savio’s arrival means there may be a few players at the club who would have reasons to be worried.

Jack Grealish should be concerned by Savio signing
While Savio is comfortable playing on either flank, it does not help Jack Grealish, who lost his place in the Manchester City side for much of last season.
This campaign, Grealish would be intending to play far more regularly — as was especially the case when City won the treble.
However, in case Pep Guardiola favours playing two natural wingers in his side, such as Savio and Doku, the Englishman could be spending way more time than he wishes to watching the pair in action from the sidelines.
The Brazilian’s arrival should motivate Grealish to further up his game.
Jeremy Doku also has competition from Savio
If Guardiola decides to stick with Doku as his left-winger of choice, he would embrace the former Atletico Mineiro starlet’s arrival.
However, in case the Belgian international does not step up his game, Savio could very well play on the left-wing — starting over 30 games for Girona in La Liga in that very role last season.
Considering Manchester City’s number 11 has looked at his best as a left-winger, in case the São Mateus-born wide forward looks at his best in that role and wins over Guardiola in that position, Doku has every reason to be worried.
Oscar Bobb might have a reason to be worried
While Oscar Bobb is naturally a midfielder, he is often deployed as a right-winger but with Savio’s arrival, his minutes in the side could undergo a further dip.
Bobb showcased last season that he has the quality and intelligence to remain a first-team player, if the Brazilian international is favoured on the right flank, the question is where the former would even play.
The Norwegian international could be frustrated if Savio hits the ground running next season.
