Tajon Buchanan is now heading to Inter Milan for a medical – after being linked with a move to Manchester City this month.
That is according to Fabrizio Romano.
So, what is the situation involving Manchester City and Tajon Buchanan? Let’s take a look…
Buchanan heading elsewhere after Manchester City links
Well, it was the Daily Star who initially claimed that Pep Guardiola was looking at signing the Canada international this month.
It was said that Buchanan’s versatility down the right flank caught the Spaniard’s eye as he shone in several positions for Club Brugge.
Now, however – according to Romano – the Canadian is heading for the San Siro.
The reliable Italian journalist wrote on X (previously known as Twitter): “Tajon Buchanan will land in Milano later today in order to complete medical tests and sign as new Inter player. Club Brugge will receive €7m (£6m) plus add-ons.”

Now, we believe Manchester City could have easily rivalled Inter Milan for the 24-year-old’s services this month given the £6m fee involved, although the Citizens appear to be more focused on recruiting future stars with their January budget.
A £26m deal for Claudio Echeverri has been agreed with River Plate, while a record move for Leeds United wonderkid Finlay Gorman is seemingly going to be announced soon.
Who else could Manchester City sign?
Well, any senior additions would appear unlikely – unless Kalvin Phillips leaves.
The England international is in talks to join Newcastle, and if an exit materialises, Guardiola could move to replace the Yorkshireman.
Fulham No.26 Joao Palhinha has been linked with Manchester City by the Daily Star.

That same report mentions that Fluminense No.7 Andre – who Guardiola recently called a “quality” player – is another option.
Be sure to keep an eye out for more developments at the Etihad Stadium, as there is plenty of time remaining in the January transfer window.
