A Manchester City player is the subject of a transfer battle between two Premier League clubs.
City finally got their summer up and running earlier this week as the club landed Savinho from Troyes.
The move had been long talked about and it had always been a question of when and not if, with an agreement having been reached earlier this year.
Savinho has arrived and fans are hopeful a couple more faces will now follow before the summer is out.
But a few first-team players are expected to be sold. Sergio Gomez has already departed, returning to Spain to join Real Sociedad.
There has been quite a lot of talk about Ederson, but Al-Nassr are no longer interested.
One man who could still be on his way this summer is Kalvin Phillips – who now has two Premier League clubs on his tail.
Fulham and Everton interested in signing Kalvin Phillips

It has been reported by the Sunday Mirror that Fulham and Everton are both interested in signing Kalvin Phillips.
Last season, Phillips left City in January on loan to join West Ham United, after failing to get regular minutes at City. Pep Guardiola barely played him, after the player had decided to stay and fight for his place.
His spell at West Ham was disastrous though, with the star producing multiple poor performances, getting sent off one time and also finishing the season injured. Phillips also missed out on the England squad for Euro 2024 due to his poor year.
But seemingly, Fulham and Everton have not been put off.
They both want him, with Fulham having already sold Joao Palhinha to Bayern Munich and Everton potentially selling Amadou Onana.
City are prepared to sell. But currently, there is no word on an asking price.
Almost certainly, City will be taking a fairly big hit on the £45 million they paid to sign him from Leeds United two years ago.
City should sell Phillips and move on

It is not very often these days that City get it wrong in the transfer market, but with Phillips they did.
The club should therefore be doing all they can to get the £150,000-a-week player off the books permanently this summer. It could be difficult because Phillips’ stint at West Ham was really poor.
But Fulham selling Palhinha to Bayern is a good thing, and if Everton sell Onana then they will also have cash to burn.
If these clubs propose loan moves for Phillips, then City should ensure that an obligation to buy clause is inserted.
