Manchester City are reportedly now facing competition for Joshua Kimmich from Paris Saint-Germain, who want the star either this month or in the summer.
It was reported recently that City are strongly considering making a move for Kimmich in the summer, when his market value will have significantly decreased – apparently, he could cost around £25 million, since he’d only have one year left on his contract.
A summer move is more likely, because Fabrizio Romano has reported that Kimmich will not be going anywhere this month, with Bayern Munich counting on him as a key player.
Given he could have a £25 million asking price, it is perhaps no surprise, then, that City are not the only club looking at the 28-year-old…
Manchester City facing competition from PSG for Joshua Kimmich

It was reported by L’Equipe yesterday that Paris Saint-Germain are looking at signing Kimmich, with Nordi Mukiele possibly moving the other way in a separate deal.
Journalist Florian Plettenberg has tonight reported an update about Kimmich – and he reiterates what Romano said about him not leaving the club in January.
But he does also say that PSG are interested, and that the French giants could swoop for the player in the summer, like City.
He adds that the interest in Kimmich has nothing to do with the Mukiele deal that is currently being negotiated.
The Champions League club already have an eye on next season it seems, and them adding Kimmich would undoubtedly strengthen their team, just as it would City’s.
City must beat PSG to Kimmich
So it seems PSG also recognised that Kimmich in a potential £25 million deal this summer would be a serious bargain.
City cannot allow the French giants to swoop in on the 28-year-old, who’s previously been dubbed ‘phenomenal‘ by Jose Mourinho.
This is a player who could very well taken City’s team to the next level. Him playing alongside Rodri, with the likes of Phil Foden and Kevin De Bruyne just ahead, is borderline unfair and a potential recipe for domination.
It is little wonder PSG want him, too. Kimmich, of course, has been a Champions League winner with Bayern, and that is the one trophy they haven’t won and covet so much.
