Don Hutchison has said that Martin Odegaard is to Arsenal what Kevin De Bruyne is to Manchester City.
Speaking to Premier League Productions (01/10/23 at 7:30 pm), the pundit made this claim about the £30 million (Sky Sports) man.
Now, Don Hutchison has likened the importance of Martin Odegaard to Arsenal to that of Kevin De Bruyne to Manchester City.

De Bruyne’s legendary status has reached a point where many believe he may well be the greatest Premier League midfielder of all time as well.
Now, Don Hutchison has explained how Martin Odegaard and Kevin De Bruyne are similar to their sides in terms of their importance.
“Amazing player. He reminds me of Kevin De Bruyne in how influential he is on the pitch and how good he is on the ball. Never really panics. Always seems to make the right decisions. He gets in good areas”, he said.
Don Hutchison said not just Kevin De Bruyne but the Norwegian captain is also similar to Erling Haaland and Rodri in terms of how key he is to this Arsenal side.
“I think he is the one, when you talk about Erling Haaland, De Bruyne or Rodri, who make Man City tick, then I think Bukayo Saka and even more so, this man, Odegaard, he is the top man.”
“He’s not particularly vocal, but he does it by his actions. When they are losing games. He then says, ‘give me the ball. I still want it. I will still take it in tight areas’ – 24 and to be captain of Arsenal. What a position to be in. Unbelievable player.”
