Manchester City today defeated Bayern Munich 2-1 in Japan to continue their good start to pre-season.
Pep Guardiola’s side got the better of the Bavarian giants on a hot evening at the Japan National Stadium.
James McAtee opened the scoring for City.
Bayern’s Mathys Til equalised late on.
But there was time for a winner from Aymeric Laporte, who came off the bench at half-time.
There were a few interesting sub-plots to today’s game.
The main one was that Kyle Walker was playing against the side who are reportedly attempting to sign him.
A lot of eyes would have been on Walker for any potential chats with Thomas Tuchel or any of the Bayern players.
But it was actually another City player who was spotted having a conversation with Tuchel after the game.

Walker has been heavily linked with a move to Bayern for weeks.
It has been reported that he’s given the move the green light, after deciding he wants a new challenge.
So it would have been unsurprising if Walker had been seen talking to his potential new manager Tuchel.
But a video clip is going round on social media of Tuchel having a fairly lengthy chat with Bernardo Silva.
Bernardo was brilliant today against Bayern.
He is another player who has been linked with a move away from City.
It is obviously unclear as to what Tuchel and Bernardo are talking about in the clip. But it all seems very jovial.
Tuchel can be seen laughing with the Portugal star and putting his arm around him.
Was Tuchel trying to sell Bayern to Bernardo?
It could have just been a very innocent chat about the game.
But it would hardly be surprising if in a few days’ time there were reports about interest from Bayern in Bernardo.
Why wouldn’t they want him? He is a truly phenomenal footballer.
City really want to keep Bernardo and so, it would take a huge offer from the German giants to prise him away.
But it’s very possible they could come in for him, especially with Tuchel having obviously faced him many times previously.
