Football dressing rooms can be a wild place at the best of times.
With stakes normally very high, especially at Premier League level, the slightest mistake or disagreement could set someone off.
There have been many well-reported cases of dressing room bust-ups over the years, from Sir Alex Ferguson kicking a boot at David Beckham to Mario Balotelli regularly getting into trouble with Roberto Mancini during their time at Man City.
However, according to Wayne Bridge, there was another player who worked under the Italian manager at the Etihad Stadium who was ready to dish out a “battering” to anyone who required it.

Craig Bellamy was always ready for an argument
Micah Richards recently told a story of Craig Bellamy getting into a fight with Richard Dunne during Mark Hughes’ first training session at Man City, and that pretty much summed up the Welsh star.
Bellamy joined Man City from West Ham in 2009 as part of a £14m deal, and the Manchester club were not exempt from the controversial figure’s antics.
The Welsh star was banned from the Premier League club in 2010 by Mancini, and Bridge has now opened up about his time with the 45-year-old in Manchester.
Speaking about arguments in dressing rooms throughout his career on The Dressing Room podcast, Bridge revealed that Bellamy was never afraid to make his feelings known to his teammates.
“I think at Southampton, there was a bit of a battering from the players when they needed it,” Bridge stated.
“I don’t think any of the other clubs are… Bella’s obviously, when I was at City, he would. Bella’s would just give it to you if you like.”
Bellamy would leave Man City to move to Liverpool in 2011, and would do so having not achieved what he wanted to in Manchester.

Craig Bellamy’s Man City career
Bellamy spent three years at Man City from 2009 to 2011, where he would rack up 51 appearances, scoring 15 goals and assisting a further 15.
The Welsh star was one of the first signings the Manchester club’s current owners made following their takeover in 2008, but the forward would leave City without a medal, which might have been something he was hoping to do given the investment that was being put into the squad at the time.
His time in Manchester would have its fair share of controversy, and unfortunately for Bellamy, that is what Man City fans are likely to remember most about their former striker.
