Speculation has been absolutely rife about the future of Ederson over the past few months, but the goalkeeper did something last night that may suggest he could now be staying at Manchester City.
Ederson has been a target for the Saudi Pro League and a number of reports have suggested that he would be open to a move.
Al-Ittihad have been the club with the most links.
But Manchester City have not been able to agree a fee with them for the player’s transfer.
Ederson has continued to feature in pre-season for City despite all the talk but last night, he was an unused substitute in the final game against Chelsea in Ohio. Stefan Ortega played for the majority of the match, before being replaced by Scott Carson on 80 minutes.
After the game, Ederson was seen doing something intriguing.
Ederson seen singing Wonderwall and tapping Man City badge after Chelsea win

City ran out 4-2 winners against Chelsea in their final pre-season friendly in the US.
It was a great night for Erling Haaland, who hit a hat-trick, and a string of youngsters impressed once again, with Pep dishing out some nice praise after the game.
It has been a useful past couple of weeks for City, although the manager has been missing a number of key players following their exertions at major tournaments over the summer.
But their absences have allowed him to take a proper look at some of the emerging talent at the club.
One key player who has been with the squad, but didn’t play last night was Ederson.
It remains to be seen what will happen with him this summer. But after last night’s game, he was filmed singing along to Oasis’ Wonderwall, which is a track that has become synonymous with City.
As the Brazilian sang and gazed up into the crowd smiling, he also patted the club crest numerous times.
Ahead of the game with Chelsea, Guardiola had reiterated that he does not want to lose the player this summer.
An intriguing show from Ederson
It is interesting that City chose to put this video out on their social media channels, knowing how much speculation there is about the player at the moment.
What he was doing can be interpreted in a couple of ways.
This may show that Ederson is happy at City, and that there is nothing in the offing regarding a potential move away. In the video, the Brazilian certainly looks happy in the moment, and the patting of the badge could indicate his loyalty.
Alternatively, perhaps something is in the offing. This could well have been Ederson – who did also look a little emotional – sharing one last moment with the City fans.
We will see if anything happens. But one report from Fabrizio Romano may well give some context to Ederson’s behaviour after the full-time whistle last night. The journalist had reported prior to the game that Al-Ittihad had given up trying to sign the star, with the Saudi club set to sign Predrag Rajkovic.
