Manchester City have a lot of players in their squad who are familiar with playing on the international stage.
In fact, a significant number of City players were in action over the summer representing their countries in the 2024 European Championship.
Despite only two Premier League games being played so far in this new season, an international break is on the way, with England in Nations League action before domestic club football gets back on track.
Now though, after seeing Gareth Southgate resign from his role in charge of the Three Lions after the Euros, England’s interim boss, Lee Carsley, has been speaking to the media about one particular City figure he has included in his first squad.

Lee Carsley discusses Jack Grealish after England call-up
After including Jack Grealish in his first England squad for their upcoming Nations League matches against Ireland and Finland, Carsley had this to say about the winger in his recent press conference (via England).
He said: “Really excited to work with Jack.
“Obviously, I’ve known of Jack for a while. Never worked with him before but seen his talents, seen the ability that he’s got.
“He’s probably coming in as one of those players that’s maybe got a point to prove. I’m looking forward to seeing a fit and motivated Jack Grealish.”
Grealish will get a big confidence boost after England call-up
Last season saw the 28-year-old appear in 36 games across all competitions, 26 of which he stated, scoring just three goals and providing only one assist along the way.
After not getting picked by Southgate to go to the Euros, Grealish said that he will use that disappointment as motivation to do the best he can on the pitch this season.
Even though the Englishman has only made one substitute appearance for City this season, the fact that he has been called up for these upcoming matches will give Grealish a big confidence boost.
