Things don’t get easier for Manchester City as Newcastle United are next up in a torrid run of fixtures this weekend.
Manchester City’s woes continued last week as an unconvincing win at Leyton Orient was followed up with yet another shambolic defeat in the Champions League to Real Madrid.
Pep Guardiola’s side have made a habit of throwing away their leads and they did so twice against Madrid before losing to Jude Bellingham’s late goal.
A resurgent Newcastle are up next ahead of the return leg in Madrid and Premier League fixtures with Liverpool and away at Tottenham.
Things aren’t looking good but here’s everything you need to know about this weekend’s game.

It’s bad news for City as Guardiola has confirmed Manuel Akanji has suffered another injury and faces 8-10 weeks on the sidelines, with the Swiss set for surgery.
Jack Grealish will likely miss out while Rodri remains sidelined.

Predictions
Given the form of both teams, City could be in real trouble of suffering yet another defeat on home soil.
The Blues are a mess defensively and are particularly vulnerable to quick turnovers and wingers getting in behind. Newcastle couldn’t be better suited to exploit that with Gordon, Jacob Murphy and star striker Alexander Isak.
Another tough afternoon could be in store.
Prediction: Manchester City 1-3 Newcastle United
