Kevin De Bruyne’s time at Manchester City will come to an end in a few weeks.
The Belgian will leave the Manchester club this summer, having spent the last 10 years at the Etihad Stadium after the hierarchy at the Premier League club opted not to offer the 33-year-old a new deal.
Chicago Fire were the early frontrunners for De Bruyne’s signature as the MLS side were obsessed with bringing the midfielder to the United States, and the player was even said to be intrigued by their project.
However, the Man City captain’s priority has always been to remain in Europe for a little longer and in recent weeks, Napoli became the leaders in the race for De Bruyne.
The midfielder has now decided that the Italian champions will be his next club, and when it will be officially announced has now been revealed.

It is easy to see why Napoli is intriguing for De Bruyne as they are the current Italian champions, one of his best friends in Romelu Lukaku plays with the Serie A giants, and they offer the midfielder the chance to continue competing in the Champions League.
According to Sacha Tavolieri, De Bruyne has finally decided to join Napoli with a full agreement reached between all parties, with his medical and official announcement expected next week.
The 33-year-old is said to have made this decision on May 12, as the Belgian gets ready to write a new chapter in his career.
It was reported this week that remaining in the Premier League was still an option for De Bruyne, however, the midfielder was unlikely to go down this path given his relationship with Man City.
