Bryan Mbeumo has officially left Brentford in favour of a big-money move to Manchester United.

While the gap between Manchester City and United is sizable to say the least, the Red Devils’ £70 million (ESPN) acquisition of the Cameroonian winger is yet another example of how much the Premier League’s ‘Big Six’ sides could improve next season.

Arsenal could sign Viktor Gyokeres while having brought in Martin Zubimendi and Noni Madueke among others while Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea have also made statement additions like Florian Wirtz, Mohammed Kudus and Liam Delap respectively.

Manchester City could make more signings despite having sealed moves for Rayan Cherki, Tijjani Reijnders, Rayan Ait-Nouri, Marcus Bettinelli and Sverre Nypan — as England’s elite clubs seem to be mean business in the summer transfer window.

Troyes could earn £8m from Bryan Mbeumo’s Man United transfer

Manchester United would especially be determined to bounce back after finishing last season, with the signings of Matheus Cunha and Mbeumo signalling their ambition to do so.

Ruben Amorim’s newest addition has a history with City Football Group club ESTAC Troyes, as he played for the French club from 2016 until 2019.

French publication L’Est Éclair have revealed that Troyes could earn €9.4 million (£8.1 million) from Mbeumo’s move to Manchester United.

Manchester City’s owners are set to benefit from the former Brentford goalscorer’s switch to Old Trafford, banking €7.4 million (£6.4 million) as profit from their sell-on clause as well as €2 million (£1.7 million) in training compensation as well as solidarity payments.

Man City could bank millions after selling Maximo Perrone to Como

The City Football Group have done a commendable job of overseeing several clubs under their ownership.

Perhaps Troyes always considered Mbeumo to be worthy of a big move to a club of Manchester United’s stature and ultimately, they will reap the rewards of developing him now.

After Manchester City sold Maximo Perrone for £13 million to Como, The Athletic reported that they have a sell-on clause worth 30 per cent in case he departs Cesc Fabregas’ side in the future.

Considering City also have a buyback clause in place, the way they have managed to cover their bases shows how business savvy every CFG club is.
