Manchester City have already embarked on a squad rebuilding process, making a number of high-profile signings in the winter transfer window.
Omar Marmoush, Nico Gonzalez, Abdukodir Khusanov and Vitor Reis all joined Manchester City in the transfer window just gone.
All four have already featured for the Citizens since their arrival, with Marmoush having arguably the biggest impact so far.
Marmoush made headlines at the weekend when he scored a first-half hat-trick in the Premier League win over Newcastle United.
Pundit Jermaine Beckford has now explained why Marmoush is the type of player that Man City “have been desperate for”.

Omar Marmoush implied to be the ‘complete package’
Beckford, speaking on Optus Sport, described Marmoush’s display against the Magpies as “absolutely brilliant”.
He then said the Egypt international is “the type of player City have been desperate for”, suggesting he’s “the complete package”.
Beckford said Jack Grealish and Jeremy Doku are great players, but he doesn’t feel they are the complete package, suggesting Marmoush is just that.
“I thought he was brilliant, absolutely brilliant,” said Beckford. “This is the type of player City have been desperate for.
“Grealish is there, Doku is there, both really good players in their own right, but they haven’t got the whole package. They haven’t.
“He’s one of these players who thrives off of the pressure and getting the ball to feet with defenders in front of him.”
Can Omar Marmoush play alongside Erling Haaland?
Marmoush’s arrival at Man City has raised the question of whether he can play alongside star striker Erling Haaland.
Mido believes Marmoush can indeed play alongside Haaland as he explained exactly what Man City fans can expect from the Egypt international.
“He’s a direct player, he doesn’t care about touching the ball much or getting deep,” said Mido, who gave Marmoush his debut at Egyptian club Wadi Degla.
“He just makes the right movement at the right time, he’s great with dealing with crosses for tap-ins and to be in the right position.
“I think he is a great fit to play with Haaland as well, because Haaland will make his job much easier with his physical presence and the way he keeps the ball. They can play very well together.”
