Tom Brady recently paid Manchester City a visit as the NFL legend attempts to make a success of things in his role as minority owner and chairman at Birmingham.

The 46-year-old has endured a difficult time in the Midlands so far, watching Birmingham drop into 17th in the Championship after surprisingly replacing John Eustace with Wayne Rooney.

Therefore, the American’s trip to Manchester City makes sense as he aims to find out what makes a successful football club – interestingly, the Californian was blown away by one thing in particular.

So, what impressed Tom Brady on his visit to Manchester City? Let’s take a look…

What blew Tom Brady away at Manchester City

Well, the NFL icon – who sent a message to Erling Haaland earlier this season – was left stunned by the facilities on show at Manchester City.

Garry Cook – CEO of Birmingham – accompanied Brady on the trip to Manchester, and told Birmingham Live: “They (City) have built an academy and a training centre which is attached to the stadium, which is absolutely magnificent and Tom Brady was blown away.

“His first question is, how do we get this? How do we make this happen?”

That does not surprise us whatsoever.

City Football Group have worked wonders at Manchester City

Manchester City’s facilities are truly remarkable, and the convenient location of the City Football Academy in particular has helped to produce some real gems.

The likes of Phil Foden, Cole Palmer, Romeo Lavia, Oscar Bobb, Brahim Diaz, Rico Lewis and Gavin Bazunu have all emerged from the youth ranks in recent times to become first team footballers.

It simply ties everything together at Manchester City and geographically epitomises just how aligned the operation under Pep Guardiola is – after last season’s treble win, the proof is in the pudding.

One day, maybe Birmingham will be competing against the Citizens at the highest level, as Brady takes inspiration from the City Football Group’s excellent work in Manchester.
