Erling Haaland has named the best goal he has scored during his time at Manchester City so far.
In an interview with the club’s official YouTube channel, the 22-year-old had a different answer to his acrobatic strike against Southampton, which he singled out as his favourite goal at City.
Now, Erling Haaland has revealed the best goal he believes he has scored in a Manchester City shirt.
Erling Haaland picks the best goal he has scored at Manchester City
Finishing the season as Europe’s leading goalscorer with a staggering 52 goals in 53 games, the Norwegian superstar is spoilt for choice.
While some of his finishes have been outrageous, the other ones have had a special significance, such as his goal against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena or his opener against Manchester United at the Etihad Stadium.
However, according to Erling Haaland, his unbelievable winner against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League group stage last season is the best goal he has scored in his Manchester City career so far.

“Yeah, I think so. Without doubt. This was a really special moment for me. Wow, that’s an amazing goal. Really amazing goal, so yeah, I have to see it one more time, it’s so nice.”
“Yeah, it was a perfect ball [from Joao Cancelo] and it was a perfect goal, basically.”
Hard to disagree with Erling Haaland
In terms of the sheer quality of the strike, Erling Haaland may have already scored the best goal he may ever score for Manchester City.
While acrobatic finishes are not out of the ordinary in general, Haaland’s strike was special and perhaps not many players in the history of the game would have been able to replicate such a difficult skill.
The youngster turned the clocks back to Zlatan Ibrahimovic in his absolute pomp with the goal in the dying embers of the game to seal a victory for the now-treble winners.
