Gabby Agbonlahor has said that even Manchester City superstar Erling Haaland would struggle to score goals at Manchester United.
Speaking to talkSPORT, the controversial pundit made this claim as more of an indictment on United’s attack rather than as a criticism of the £51 million (Sky Sports) man.
However, Gabby Agbonlahor believes even Erling Haaland would end up being a letdown at Manchester United.
Gabby Agbonlahor says Erling Haaland would flop at Manchester United
Branded as an ‘incredible threat’ by Pep Guardiola, the Norwegian striker currently has 11 goals in all competitions and is the Premier League’s top scorer with nine goals in nine games.
Last season, Haaland bagged a staggering 52 goals in 53 games, whilst leading Manchester City team to a historic treble.
However, Gabby Agbonlahor gave a brief verdict on how Erling Haaland would fare in a Manchester United shirt.

“Haaland wouldn’t score in this Man United team in the Premier League”, he said.
“They starve him [Rasmus Hojlund] of service, Antony gets the ball, he cuts inside, doesn’t put crosses in, [Marcus] Rashford does the same on the left-hand side, no one puts crosses in for him!”
Erling Haaland would score anywhere he plays
One can understand the point Gabby Agbonlahor is making as Manchester United struggle to create any chances but as a goalscorer, the Leeds-born goalscorer is truly one of one.
Be it at RB Salzburg, Borussia Dortmund or Manchester City, the 23-year-old has shown time and again that he is born to put the ball into the back of the net.
In fact, in a transition-based side like United, Haaland would also have the time of his life, as was the case at Dortmund.
The treble-winner would simply elevate the Red Devils’ attack and allow Erik ten Hag to build the scariest attack on the break in the world.
While most strikers in the Premier League would perhaps be starved of service at Old Trafford, Erling Haaland would still find a way to be prolific because his physical profile and finishing are uniquely incredible.
