Yaya Toure has now praised Leroy Sane – who Manchester City sold to Bayern Munich in 2020.
The 40-year-old made the comments when speaking to GOAL.
So, what did Yaya Toure say about Leroy Sane? Let’s take a look…
What Yaya Toure said about Leroy Sane
Well, the Ivorian was asked to name his quickest teammate from his playing days.
Toure appeared alongside the likes of Lionel Messi, Thierry Henry and Samuel Eto’o during his time at Barcelona, but opted for Sane as his fastest teammate.
The man who made 316 appearances for Manchester City said: “Leroy Sane, because when he starts with the ball – without the ball I don’t know – but with the ball I don’t think anyone can catch him.”

Toure – who Micah Richards compared Mateo Kovacic to – shared a pitch with the Germany international on 34 occasions while at Manchester City, only losing three of those games as the pair won a Premier League title together in 2018.
Manchester City apparently want Leroy Sane reunion
Pep Guardiola would like to reunite with Sane at Manchester City in the summer – according to Christian Falk of German news outlet BILD.
Liverpool are also said to be keen on signing the 28-year-old.
The Bayern Munich No.10 has returned to his ways of old under Thomas Tuchel, proving himself as one of the best wingers in 2023/24 so far with nine goals and nine assists in 24 appearances across all competitions.

Guardiola has since replaced Sane and Raheem Sterling with Jeremy Doku and Jack Grealish out wide, so it remains to be seen where the German – who was sold to Bayern Munich for £54.8m – would fit.
The Essen-born forward has shown he can operate in a central role, however, so that could be one possible position for him back in Manchester.
Nevertheless, Falk is one of the strongest sources in Germany, so it is certainly worth keeping an eye on this situation for further developments.
