Pep Guardiola will be looking forward to giving several young players a chance to shine — starting with City’s first game against Celtic.
During the club’s previous pre-season tour of the US, the likes of Oscar Bobb and James McAtee famously got minutes.
In fact, McAtee scored in the Sky Blues’ 2-1 win against Bayern Munich before heading out on loan to Sheffield United.

Callum Doyle is one youngster at City’s disposal who has impressed out on loan — helping Leicester City win the Championship and return to the Premier League this season.
Doyle, who plays for England’s Under-21 sides has also played for Sunderland and Coventry City on loan and after his stint at the King Power Stadium last season, he has returned to the Etihad Stadium.
On Wednesday, it was reported that the 20-year-old is set to join Norwich City on a season-long loan to the Championship.
Despite that being the case, journalist Joe Bray has revealed on X that despite Doyle nearing a loan move to Norwich, he could be a part of the Manchester City squad that heads to the US for their pre-season tour.

Doyle would be welcome to the experience of joining the Manchester City first-team on their pre-season tour.
The highly-rated centre-back will have a chance to learn from Pep Guardiola for a few weeks.
Most young players in world football would dream to potentially have the opportunity the Englishman could have.
Furthermore, Doyle will get to train and spend time with players such as Erling Haaland and Jack Grealish during the tour.
