In the summer of 2025, Manchester City have seemingly missed out on a few players they were interested in signing.
One of them is Marc Guehi, whose dream destination is Liverpool despite being linked with a surprise move to Pep Guardiola’s side.
Manchester City target Tino Livramento could extend his contract at Newcastle United as well.
However, Pep Guardiola may not be overly concerned as his focus will be on getting the best out of his current crop of players.
Man City target Rodrigo Mora closes in on Al-Ittihad transfer
Manchester City eyed £60.3 million-rated Rodrigo Mora as well, who was also attracting interest from Arsenal and Manchester United.

The 18-year-old looks like one of Portugal’s best up-and-coming talents, registering 12 goals and four assists last season.
However, journalist Santi Aouna has reported that despite Manchester City’s interest in Mora’s signature, Porto and Al-Ittihad are close to reaching an agreement for his sale.
The club’s CEO, Domingos Soares de Oliveira is working to try and gain the approval of the PIF (Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund) over the transfer.
However, the rest of the Al-Ittihad board are against the idea of signing Mora but Oliveira’s friend, Jorge Mendes is “pushing” for his client to sign for the Saudi Pro League club — with the super-agent expected to bank a “huge commission.”
Jorge Mendes’ clients at Man City
The Portuguese agent seems to share a strong relationship with City, based on the number of clients he has at the Etihad Stadium.
Names include stars like Bernardo Silva, Ruben Dias, Ederson, Nico Gonzalez and Matheus Nunes.
As a result, it will be interesting to see whether Manchester City can leverage their relationship with Jorge Mendes to sign Mora, even though he seems likely to become an Al-Ittihad player.
