Micah Hamilton has heaped praise on Oscar Bobb.

Hamilton said it is “amazing” to see the Norwegian become an integral member of the first-team squad at the Etihad Stadium while speaking to the club (via their official website).

After Manchester City’s 3-2 victory against Red Star Belgrade in December as well, the highly-rated prospect gave the 20-year-old his props.

Micah Hamilton hails Oscar Bobb

As Oscar Bobb’s mature display in his side’s latest 5-0 drubbing of Huddersfield Town generated a lot of positive discourse around him, Pep Guardiola also hailed him as an “incredible threat.” The Catalan boss also likened the way the Norwegian receives the ball on the turn to Phil Foden.

Leon Osman also praised the youngster due to his unique awareness of his surroundings during the contest.

Now, Micah Hamilton has revealed how impressed he has been with the rise of Oscar Bobb in the Manchester City senior team while lauding him as a player.

“It’s the same with Oscar [Bobb] as well. I was able to play with him last season in the EDS [Elite Development Squad]. He’s obviously another top player and now [to] see him over there [in the first team squad] day-to-day is just amazing”, he told the club (via their official website).

“They are two top players and to have them by my side feels so good.”

Oscar Bobb is another example of Pep Guardiola’s trust in the youth

As Micah Hamilton said, all one can do is appreciate Oscar Bobb for how quickly he has made himself a key cog of Manchester City’s roster.

But it is also worth mentioning how Pep Guardiola has done wonders to promote the youth at the Etihad Stadium.

This season alone, the likes of Oscar Bobb, Micah Hamilton, Mahamadou Susoho and Jacob Wright have all made their senior debuts for the club.

But Bobb in particular seems to have earned Guardiola’s trust, who has been fearless enough to play him against sides like Newcastle in the Carabao Cup and bring him on against Sheffield United when his side was only leading 1-0 during the game.

Pep Guardiola has always been a manager associated with believing in young talent and he has done the same at Manchester City, with Oscar Bobb being yet another shining example of this theory.
