Manchester City managed to take a point against Arsenal in Sunday’s big Premier League clash – and Daniel Sturridge was left blown away by one man at the Etihad Stadium.
An incident-packed game saw the teams share the spoils – and the 2-2 draw was probably just about fair in the end.
Erling Haaland made headlines once again for scoring his 100th goal for the club.
He also got involved in some pushing and shoving at the end, and was heard arguing with former Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus after the full-time whistle. He also had words for Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, telling him to ‘stay humble’.
Haaland was actually fairly quiet in the game itself.
But he did manage to score and become the first player in Premier League history to get 10 goals in his first five games. And his finish was lapped up by former City striker Daniel Sturridge.
Daniel Sturridge hails Erling Haaland for Romario-like finish and also praises Savinho

City got off to the perfect start yesterday, with Haaland scoring his 10th goal of the season.
The Norwegian was played in brilliantly by Savinho, who had taken a fantastic touch to take him inside and away from Riccardo Calafiori.
Haaland often goes far post when he finishes, opening up his body like Thierry Henry used to do so often and so clinically.
But this time, he caught David Raya out by going near post, almost poking the ball past the Spaniard.
It was a great goal, which left Daniel Sturridge impressed. He wrote on X: “Savinho’s first touch, acceleration and weight of pass were top tier. Haaland’s positioning between the centre-halves and timing of his run were perfect. Romario-esque toe poke finish. Top-class attacking play.”
Another amazing finish
Haaland’s finishing this season has been on another level.
The 24-year-old has always scored regularly, but this term we have been seeing much more variety in his goals and has been a joy to watch.
This latest finish from the £51 million man against Arsenal was very smart.
The finish to the far post with his left foot is his bread and butter, and Raya knows that. It looked on again, but Haaland went for the near post, almost stabbing the ball along the ground.
He has just been devastating so far, and fans will hope this form continues for as long as possible.
