Ederson Moraes has had his say on his future.
Ederson recently rebuffed claims that he was unhappy with the praise Stefan Ortega was getting after his heroics in Manchester City’s 2-0 win against Tottenham Hotspur last season; which was claimed to be a reason behind his reported desire for an exit.
It was also reported on Thursday that the Manchester City goalkeeper was targeting a move to a European club.
However, the 30-year-old started in City’s 3-2 defeat against AC Milan in their second friendly during their US pre-season tour.
Ederson was taken off late into the game, with Ortega taking his place.

Ederson breaks silence on his Manchester City future
The six-time Premier League winner’s contract expires in 2026 — which would perhaps make it ideal for Manchester City to sell him if his stance remains to leave the club.
Pep Guardiola said via Sky Sports Football that he sorely wishes that his trusted goalkeeper stays put at the Etihad Stadium.
However, where the decorated shotstopper stands on his future is the talking point.
After Manchester City lost to AC Milan, Ederson held the stance that his future is yet to be decided.
Ederson told journalist Fred Caldeira on TNT Brasil: “I’m happy here at City. I’m calm with my teammates. I’m enjoying it, too. And I’m getting back into shape, so I have a clear head. Whatever happens is in God’s hands. He knows the right way.”
Ederson expressed that he was happy to hear Pep Guardiola admit that he wishes for his long-time colleague to stay at Manchester City.
“Nothing is decided. Hearing this from Pep [Guardiola] is gratifying. It’s already the eighth season with him, collecting many good moments, bad moments, too. He’s easy to work with.”
“He is a football genius, everyone knows that. Hearing that from him is always good.”
Pep Guardiola could persuade Ederson to stay at Man City
Pep Guardiola is known to let players leave at their will but if he wishes to, he could convince Ederson to stay at Manchester City.
Considering the time the pair have spent working together, Guardiola perhaps has a great insight into the club legend’s personality.
As a result, if the Catalan tactician expresses his desire for him to stay, if that is needed in person, Ederson could be persuaded to hear the legendary manager emphasise how important he remains to his system.
However, if Ederson’s mind is made up, City could well spend their time trying to find a suitor for his services.
