Manchester City have received a huge boost with Erling Haaland returning to full training after his injury.

The Norwegian superstar was on track to return for City earlier this month, but suffered a setback in his recovery from a foot injury.

Halaand has not played since the 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa in December, and fans have been patiently waiting for the 23-year-old’s return.

Haaland resumed full training out in Abu Dhabi, and it will now not be long until he is wearing a sky blue shirt – and the star is very excited about the prospect…

At the moment, City are out in Abu Dhabi for warm weather training as the UK is battered by storms, and Pep Guardiola is hoping to keep his players ticking over ahead of the second half of the season.

The squad return to Manchester tomorrow, and preparations will begin for Friday night’s FA Cup fourth-round clash with Tottenham Hotspur.

It remains to be seen whether Haaland will have any kind of involvement in that game, although the early suggestions are that it’s unlikely.

It has been claimed that the next Premier League game with Burnley will be Haaland’s return.

The former Borussia Dortmund man is delighted to be training with his teammates again though as he closes in on his return to match action.

Uploading a single photo of himself tying his laces on a training pitch, he took to social media last night to check in with fans and said: “Oh how I’ve missed this!”

His message comes after Haaland admitted at the Globe Soccer Awards he was ‘bored’ of not playing.

Ominous times for Man City’s title rivals

So Haaland is finally back in full training and it’s something that will no doubt strike fear into City’s Premier League title rivals.

Just like the return of Kevin De Bruyne, Haaland coming back is a major boost for City.

Julian Alvarez has done well leading the line in recent weeks, but he is obviously not the same clinical finisher as Haaland.

With De Bruyne and Haaland back in the team, City fans are expecting big things in the second half of the season and the duo are bound to make a significant impact.
