Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Manchester City are dissatisfied by the latest proposal made by Al-Nassr for one of their key players.
Since Pep Guardiola’s appointment in 2016, City have seemingly made it a point to let players leave at their own accord — provided the buying club in question adheres to their fee demands — making their sale policy quite straightforward and uncomplicated.
However, if Manchester City seem to believe that the fee in question does not match their demands, they will continue to negotiate with the suitor in question to find the best possible solution for all parties involved.
Last Tuesday, it was claimed that Al-Nassr were hopeful of wrapping up a deal to sign Ederson Moraes within a week. The Saudi Pro League giants have no shortage of big-names at their disposal — such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Aymeric Laporte, Sadio Mane and Marcelo Brozovic.

Over a week ago, it was also reported that Al-Nassr were willing to pay £900,000-a-week in wages to sign the six-time Premier League winner.
Ederson — described as “incredible” by Andy Townsend — was spotted in pre-season training at City, as posted by the club’s official X account.
The Brazilian international extended his contract at the club until 2026 in September three years ago.
Fabrizio Romano has claimed that the initial proposal of €30 million (£25.2 million) from Al-Nassr to sign Ederson has been turned down by Manchester City — who “won’t accept this fee.”
The 30-year-old has agreed a move to the Saudi Arabian club, as per the Italian journalist but City are demanding in excess of €50 million (£42 million) to sell their club legend.
Romano has stated that the deal depends on both clubs in question now
Manchester City should stick to their guns about Ederson
Ultimately, Manchester City have no reason to offload Ederson this summer and as a result, unless Al-Nassr are willing to accept their fee demands, they should hold their ground.
The decorated goalkeeper remains one of the best in the world in his position and if Al-Nassr were to sign him, he would be one of the few world-class players heading to the Saudi Pro League.
With how important Ederson is to Manchester City as well, they have every right to demand a higher fee than even £42 million to sell him.
As a result, if Al-Nassr are unwilling to agree to their demands, City should stick to their guns and either decide to keep the enigmatic goalkeeper or sell him to a more agreeable suitor.
