Fabrizio Romano shares how Jack Grealish really feels about joining Everton from Man City

Jack Grealish has been strongly linked with a move to Everton this summer.

David Moyes personally wants to sign Grealish on loan, with the winger’s time at Manchester City nearing an end.

However, the England international is accustomed to playing at the elite level and winning trophies for fun after spending four seasons at the Etihad Stadium.

Considering Grealish recently admitted he loves Manchester City as well, whether he is ready to play for a Toffees side who finished 12th in the Premier League last season is a major question.

Man City star Jack Grealish is open to Everton move

Jack Grealish’s options are rather limited during the ongoing summer window, considering his £300,000-a-week wages mean not many clubs would be willing to sign him permanently.

As a result, the Englishman’s best-case scenario looks like a loan move to play regular football once again.

With Manchester City News revealing Everton appreciate Grealish as well, Fabrizio Romano claimed on Men In Blazers that his agent spoke to David Moyes’ side and the player fancies the move, elaborating: “Yes. I can tell you that Everton spoke to the agents of Jack Grealish over the recent days.”

“There was a conversation. Everton wanted to understand the situation of the player, what’s going on with these links with Napoli and more clubs, with Napoli nothing advanced at this stage. So Jack Grealish is quite open to considering this opportunity.”

Fabrizio Romano revealed that Grealish’s move to Everton hinges on whether Manchester City are willing to loan him out as the Merseyside-based club are only looking to bring him in temporarily.

“He’s not the only one, so at the moment still nothing advanced but Grealish could be open to joining Everton. Now it really depends on Man City, because obviously for Everton this would be a potential deal on loan. Let’s see what City want to do, if they want to insist on a permanent deal, if they can accept a loan, what sort of loan, with a buy obligation, buy option, covering a big salary, like the one of Jack Grealish.”

“So let’s see the conditions of the deal now, but the contact is real.”

When Everton are expected to make Jack Grealish loan offer

Journalist Rob Dawson has claimed that Manchester City expect clubs like Everton and West Ham United will submit official loan offers to sign Grealish towards the end of the transfer window.

Dawson said on ESPN FC: “They expect him to leave, they think that perhaps clubs like West Ham, Everton will come in with loan offers towards the end of the window, kind of wait it out and see what’s going to happen and maybe make late moves.”

Considering Grealish is open to joining Everton, if Manchester City approve of the loan deal, they may also have to pay his wages. Whether City are open to this very possibility also remains to be seen.

Grealish was a part of Manchester City’s return to first-team training on Monday and his focus will be to remain fit ahead of the season, regardless of where he plays his football. With the World Cup scheduled next year, it seems unlikely that Grealish will be named in England’s squad unless he secures a move.
