Manchester City may have not had the best of seasons, but they’ve still got a lot to play for and the rebuild has already started.
The Citizens could yet finish the season with the FA Cup and in next season’s Champions League, far from the disaster the campaign has been made out to be.
In addition, Manchester City have already made a number of big signings this year, such as Abdukodir Khusanov, Omar Marmoush and Nico Gonzalez.
And City obviously still have a star-studded team boasting some of the biggest names in world football.
Indeed, Fulham striker Rodrigo Muniz has now named a City player as his favourite current player to watch – more so than Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak.

Rodrigo Muniz enjoys watching Manchester City star Erling Haaland more than any other player
Muniz was interviewed by Goal.com and asked which five current players he enjoys watching the most.
The video, posted on Goal.com’s TikTok, shows the Fulham ace naming Isak in fifth, Napoli’s Romelu Lukaku in fourth and Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins in third.
Barcelona superstar Robert Lewandowski came in second, and City’s very own goal machine Erling Haaland got top spot.
How Erling Haaland has fared at Manchester City
Since arriving at the Etihad Stadium from Borussia Dortmund in 2022, Haaland has clocked up a frankly staggering goal tally.
Indeed, when also factoring in assists, Haaland has registered more than one goal contribution per game for Manchester City.
| Season | Appearances | Goals | Assists | Minutes |
| 2022/23 | 53 | 52 | 9 | 4.131′ |
| 2023/24 | 45 | 38 | 7 | 3.745′ |
| 2024/25 | 40 | 30 | 4 | 3.438′ |
The Norway international’s tally at the Etihad reads 138 appearances, 120 goals and 20 assists.
Haaland is now just the second player to have scored 20-plus goals in each of his first three seasons in the Premier League.
City have well and truly struck gold with Haaland and, considering he’s just 24 years of age, he’s yet to reach his peak as a striker.
But as good as he is, Haaland recently admitted there is one more thing he wants to add to his game – dribbling like Lionel Messi.
