Manchester City have shown in previous transfer windows that they are very capable when it comes to splashing the cash to sign new players.
After breaking their club record transfer fee in 2021 to sign Jack Grealish from Aston Villa for £100m, the Blues have brought in the likes of Erling Haaland, Josko Gvardiol and Jeremy Doku for significant sums.
Having been linked with numerous players throughout the current summer transfer period, a pundit and former top-flight star has shared his thoughts on one particular player City have been mentioned with and how much it could cost them to sign him.

Gabby Agbonlahor ponders Jamal Musiala transfer fee amid Man City interest
Speaking on talkSPORT (26/7 18:20), Gabby Agbonlahor in response to recent reports suggesting that City are eyeing a move for Jamal Musiala as a potential future replacement for Kevin De Bruyne.
He said: “Oh, that’s going to cost you so much, though. Oh, all the best! Germany’s top talent leaving Bayern, at his age as well, maybe more [than £150m], mate. He is a top player, mate.”
Musiala wouldn’t be cheap
After spending some time in Chelsea’s youth ranks, the midfielder joined Bayern’s U17 side back in the 2019 summer transfer window.
Having made his senior debut for the club back in 2020, the 21-year-old has gone on to make 163 appearances for Bayern across all competitions, scoring 43 goals and delivering 31 assists in the process.
During the recent 2024 European Championship, Musiala bagged three goals for Germany in the tournament, further cementing his status as one of the most exciting players in Europe right now.
Taking all of that on board, it’s easy to see why Agbonlahor thinks landing a deal for the midfielder would cost City an arm and a leg.
If the Manchester club feel that the Bayern star is worth making a potentially heavy investment in, we feel that this could be a monumental signing for them.
