Gabby Agbonlahor has hailed Kevin De Bruyne as an “outstanding” player.
The pundit ranked De Bruyne as the second-best player in Europe currently on talkSPORT (02/12/2023), despite him being sidelined with a long-term injury this season.
The £54 million (Independent) man seems to have his fair share of admirers, with even Trent Alexander-Arnold admitting that he takes “little bits” from his game.
Gabby Agbonlahor raves about “outstanding” Kevin De Bruyne
Adebayo Akinfenwa recently claimed that the Belgian legend is a greater player than Mesut Ozil was, in his opinion.
In August, Paul Merson described the 32-year-old as a “machine”, saying he is on “another level” to every other player in England’s top-flight.
Now, Gabby Agbonlahor has also been full of praise for Kevin De Bruyne, who he ranked as the second-best player in European football currently.

“Number two, I’d probably go with, on his day, because he hasn’t played for a couple of months, Kevin De Bruyne. What he did last season, 28 goal involvements in the treble win, he is outstanding”, he told talkSPORT.
An insight into how much respect the Manchester City legend commands
Last Sunday, the midfield maestro revealed that he could return from injury soon after the New Year, which is a delightful update for Manchester City supporters across the globe.
The fact that Gabby Agbonlahor has not let the injury suffered by Kevin De Bruyne this season change the fact that he is right up there amongst the best players in the world shows how much respect he commands.
Despite being on the wrong side of 30, as Agbonlahor said, the treble-winner remained a force of nature on the pitch last season.
In addition, it is safe to say that a majority of fans and pundits alike expect De Bruyne to return from injury and do what he does best; age like fine wine as he makes life hell for any team that tries to stop him in his tracks.
This simply cannot be said for many players in world football, which is why all one can do is tip their hat to De Bruyne’s sustained excellence.
