Manchester City are keen to sign Federico Dimarco from Inter Milan – a player who has previously heaped praise on Ederson.
It was 90min who claimed that the Citizens want to sign the Inter Milan No.32 – with Chelsea also interested.
So, what has Federico Dimarco previously said about Ederson? Let’s take a look…
What’s the story?
Well, the Italy international had nothing but praise for the Brazil international, after his heroics helped Manchester City record a 1-0 win over Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League final.
Speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport (as quoted by Sempre Inter) after the showpiece event in Istanbul, Dimarco said: “Of course. We had clear chances, but Ederson made some great saves. We’re so disappointed.”
It wouldn’t surprise us if that UEFA Champions League final was the game which led Pep Guardiola to take an interest in the Italian full-back, as he was arguably Inter Milan’s best player.

As WhoScored shows, Dimarco had two shots – one of which hit the woodwork – while also recording one key pass and four successful tackles.
No player on the pitch registered more tackles than the 25-year-old Manchester City target, who Inter Milan paid just €7m (£6m) for via a buyback clause.
Manchester City seemingly have an alternative to Federico Dimarco
Guardiola seems intent on strengthening his left-back department, as Dimarco is not the only left sided full-back to be linked with a move to the Etihad Stadium.
According to South American journalist Martin Liberman, a deal for Boca Juniors left-back Valentin Barco is set to happen in January, so it remains to be seen if both him and Dimarco will arrive.

The respected journalist – who boasts over 800,000 followers – even claimed that Manchester City have sent the 19-year-old a fitness plan ahead of his arrival.
Be sure to keep an eye on developments at Manchester City, as Guardiola certainly seems keen to bolster this one area in particular.
