Manchester City are aiming to finally get back to winning ways when they take on Barcelona.

The American fans have certainly been treated to thrilling goal fests when watching Manchester City play in pre-season but are yet to see the team pick up a win.

Pep Guardiola’s side lost 4-3 to Celtic last week and followed that up with a 3-2 loss to AC Milan this past weekend.

Erling Haaland was amongst the goals again and James McAtee continued his promising pre-season with a strike of his own.

Progress has been steady in the States but a win would certainly go down well, especially against a club like Barcelona.

Manchester City vs Barcelona team news

City are yet to suffer any injury setbacks on the tour so far so Guardiola still has a full squad to choose from.

Senior stars Ederson, Haaland, Jack Grealish, Rico Lewis and Oscar Bobb will all be aiming to get more minutes under their belts while Kalvin Phillips will be desperate to return to the starting XI.

McAtee is enjoying a strong pre-season and fellow youngster Micah Hamilton will be hopeful of a start after his assist off the bench last time out.

Josko Gvardiol may also come in for his first start after returning to the squad and coming off the bench late on against Milan.

Barcelona, meanwhile, are without even more senior stars than City and can count Marc-Andre Ter Stegan as one of the only few regular starters available.
