Manchester City fans now have just a few weeks left of watching Kevin De Bruyne in a sky-blue shirt.
Around a month ago, De Bruyne left City fans gutted by announcing he’d be leaving City this summer when his contract expires.
It has since come out that De Bruyne’s exit from City is a club decision, and that the player was not offered an extension.
That prompted a big reaction within the fanbase, with some flummoxed that the club seemingly haven’t even tried to keep him.
There is little doubt Kevin De Bruyne is not the same player as he was a couple of years ago.
But we’ve been seeing in recent weeks that he can still make good contributions.
Plenty of clubs are showing interest in soon-to-be free agent De Bruyne and pundit Alan Shearer has made a new claim about the maestro regarding his next destination.
Alan Shearer sure Kevin De Bruyne can play for a top-six Premier League club after leaving Man City

There has obviously been a lot of speculation regarding De Bruyne’s future since he made the announcement about him leaving.
Saudi club Neom SC are interested in De Bruyne, and the MLS remains a possibility, with Chicago Fire keen on De Bruyne.
But more recently, there’s been word of interest from Premier League clubs.
For Alan Shearer, the Belgian could easily still play for one of the six teams in the English top-flight, despite being past his peak.
He said on BBC Radio 5 Live: “He’s going to have loads of options. Does he want to go and play in the sunshine. Does he want a bit of an easier life. Does he want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the Premier League?
“Can he still play in it? Absolutely. There’s no doubt about it that he could still play in a top-six team. Whether that’s on a regular basis every single week or not – probably maybe not with the injuries he’s had in recent months – but ability-wise, he’s still a class-act.
“I do, yeah, absolutely. Whether that’s playing every single week, maybe not. But playing when he can. Coming on and impacting games, I’m certain he could still do a job in the top six.”
What Kevin De Bruyne has said about playing in the Club World Cup for Man City

City fans likely won’t want to see De Bruyne playing for another Premier League club, but it’s starting to feel like a real possibility.
Fans were stunned and uncomfortable over speculation Aston Villa are interested in De Bruyne, and the thought of him still playing in the Premier League but not wearing a City shirt is certainly an odd notion.
City fans are now just looking to savour these final games of De Bruyne, but it’s still unclear which game will actually be his last.
The club, of course, are competing in the Club World Cup this summer, and De Bruyne could actually play part of the tournament before his contract expires partway through it.
But the player is the dark about that right now, saying after the win over Wolves: “I don’t know. For me, it will depend on whatever happens in the future, you know, depending on what team I’ll go, what competition I’ll play.
“Also if another team doesn’t want me to play, doesn’t want to risk whatever happens.
“I haven’t really spoken to City about it, so I don’t know. If they want to have a conversation, we can. But I’m not sure about this. For me the most important is to play good, stay in the rhythm. I’m not worried about my level or physical things – I know how much I run and how hard I work.”
