Guillem Balague has now made a claim about Pep Guardiola and Manchester City.
The 55-year-old shared the comments when speaking on the Kickin It podcast by CBS Sports.
So, what was said about Manchester City and Pep Guardiola? Let’s take a look…
What Guillem Balague said about Pep Guardiola and Manchester City
Well, the respected Spanish journalist believes the 52-year-old could actually decide to take over England when his contract at Manchester City expires in 2025.
Balague said: “I think, in his mind, he has had this idea that, at some point, his back is killing him, he had an operation, it is better now, but if he cannot physically give absolutely everything, then maybe it would be time to slow down and do something else.
“He always had the idea of a break, and then national team… I think England. He has dealt with the players, he has improved the players.”

Guardiola’s future remains up in the air.
Both the Guardian and ESPN believe the Spaniard will leave the Etihad Stadium when his contract expires in 2025, although the Santpedor-born tactician hinted at an extension last week by stating that he still has a lot of “energy” in his current role.
Who Manchester City could hire to replace Pep Guardiola
If the £378,846-a-week man does choose to leave Manchester City in 2025, a few names have already been mentioned as potential replacements.
Roberto De Zerbi is one option – according to TV Play.
The Italian has impressed many with his work at Brighton – including Guardiola – so he could be in line to take over at Manchester City one day.

However, Real Madrid are said to have held talks with De Zerbi, so there is competition for the 44-year-old’s signature.
Mikel Arteta – who, of course, left his role as Assistant Manger at Manchester City to take the reins at Arsenal – has also been mentioned as an option by the aforementioned TV Play.
Whatever Guardiola decides to do, nobody can question the Spaniard’s work at Manchester City – he has earned the right to do as he pleases when his contract ends in 2025.
