Nedal Huoseh, Alphonso Davies’ agent has suggested that his client could leave Bayern Munich, opening the door to a transfer approach from Manchester City.

As relayed by Spanish outlet AS, it was reported a month ago that Pep Guardiola’s side had shortlisted the £9.8 million (BBC Sport) man as a potential incoming.

With a report claiming on Tuesday that Manchester City are keen on selling Joao Cancelo, Alphonso Davies’ agent may have further boosted their chances of replacing the versatile full-back in the summer transfer window.

Interestingly enough, it was claimed just a week ago that Sky Blues sporting director, Txiki Begiristain personally wanted to sign the Canadian captain.

As Cancelo looks unlikely to be a part of Guardiola’s plans ahead of the following campaign, bringing in a left-back in the summer should be high up on City’s priority list.

Alphonso Davies’ agent, Nedal Huoseh may have made life easier for Manchester City in their transfer pursuits as his revelation about his client’s future may suggest an exit could be on the cards.

“It’s a chaotic time at Bayern Munich. I’m not sure what’s going on and who we will talk to. There seems to be too much instability and uncertainty about the direction of the club. Maybe it is better if we wait until 2024 to renew and see how things develop with the club before moving on to a new contract.”

Manchester City should capitalise on the situation

With Alphonso Davies’ agent openly admitting that Bayern Munich is an unstable club currently, Manchester City should pounce at the chance of such uncertainty to wrap up a transfer.

Davies has a claim for being the best left-back in the world and in a side that still lacks genuine width, he is guaranteed to be an instant hit.

Playing alongside natural midfielders in wide positions in Jack Grealish and Phil Foden, the Champions League winner’s inclusion would allow them to drift centrally and do what they do best as well.

With the Sky Blues also prioritizing physically gifted defenders in their newfound setup, he would fit the bill perfectly, which makes a transfer approach a no-brainer.
