Jack Grealish has said that Phil Foden is one of the best players in five-a-side games he has ever seen.

In a video with England’s official YouTube channel, Grealish made this claim about the £225,000-a-week (Sport Rac) man.

Anton Ferdinand would likely agree with the Manchester City superstar, considering he likened the 23-year-old to one of his country’s most skilful-ever players in Paul Gascoigne.

Jack Grealish says “there’s not many better” than Phil Foden in five-a-side

Heralded as “unbelievable” by Rio Ferdinand, Phil Foden has always been lauded for his technical excellence.

It would not be a stretch to suggest that the Stockport-born attacker is one of the Premier League’s most skilful players, blessed with an impeccable first touch, the ability to breeze past opponents at the drop of a hat and a sense of effortlessness about his game.

As a result, it has not been a surprise to discover Jack Grealish, who plays and trains with Phil Foden for both club and country highlight how brilliant he is in five-a-side.

“There’s not many better five-a-side players than him”, Grealish told England while filming a YouTube video for their channel.

Phil Foden would be even more devastating in small-sided games

One would be inclined to agree with Jack Grealish as the prospect of Phil Foden constantly getting on the ball in a five-a-side game is mouthwatering.

The decorated technician is simply phenomenal in tight spaces and his press resistance just makes it impossible to get the ball off him.

Furthermore, Foden’s experience of having played in midfield, out wide and even up top would mean that he would be a nuisance wherever he received the ball.

The Manchester City poster-child would also be able to express himself much more than in a competitive fixture due to the pressure and responsibilities that come with playing at the highest level.
