Manchester City have a track record when it comes to signing players from the Bundesliga.
For example, City have bought the likes of Josko Gvardiol, Erling Haaland and Manuel Akanji from sides in the German league over recent years.
Even though the latest summer transfer window has now been and gone, a journalist has made a claim about two particular players currently making a name for themselves in Germany that City have on their radar.

Journalist claims Man City could sign Jamal Musiala and Florian Wirtz
In a recent report shared on the talkSPORT website, Alex Crook had this to say on the matter while discussing which Premier League clubs have an interest in Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze.
He said: “Manchester City also hold historical interest in Eze, although their main targets appear to be Germany duo Florian Wirtz and Jamal Musiala, with a double Bundesliga raid a distinct possibility.”
Musiala and Wirtz would be special signings
Back in April, it was reported by The Guardian that Musiala was a top target for City and Pep Guardiola, who the Manchester club are apparently hoping will sign a new contract if they sign the Bayern Munich star.
With 166 senior appearances for Bayern under his belt, the 21-year-old has found the back of the net 44 times and delivered 31 assists.
In comparison, Wirtz has scored 43 goals and supplied 51 assists in 156 for Bayer Leverkusen.
Looking back over the previous Bundesliga campaign, the Leverkusen star ended the season with the highest total of goal-creating actions (24) in the entire division.
This highlights just how special the duo are and how exciting it could be for City if they did end up signing them as Crook hinted at.
Moving forward, if the Blues are able to land a double deal for Musiala and Wirtz, this would undoubtedly strengthen the team and their attacking power.
