Lamine Yamal left the watching world with their jaws on the floor with a devastating display in Barcelona’s 3-3 draw against Inter Milan in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final.

So much so that even Erling Haaland called Yamal “incredible” after he stole the show against Inter.

While Kyle Walker hinted Phil Foden was on Yamal’s level as a young player, regardless of whether one agrees or disagrees — it is impossible to deny that how he is dominating world football at just 17 is unprecedented.

Even Manchester City legends like Kevin De Bruyne, David Silva and Sergio Aguero were not as accomplished as the Barcelona sensation at the same age.

Lamine Yamal said he would love to play with Kevin De Bruyne

One could argue that the game is yet to see a youngster as naturally talented as Lamine Yamal is.

While Yamal has done most of his talking on the pitch, he revealed the one Premier League player he would love to play with while speaking to Radio Estadio Noche.

Manchester City fans will be delighted to discover that Yamal’s instant reply to the question was “Kevin De Bruyne.”

Pep Guardiola called Yamal “exceptional” but unfortunately for the City boss, it seems next to impossible for him to play alongside De Bruyne or any Sky Blues player at the Etihad Stadium as he is the jewel in Barcelona’s crown.

Savinho has been compared to Yamal and the Brazilian international will certainly be hoping to become the elite winger the Spaniard already is.

Will Manchester City try to sign Lamine Yamal?

Mundo Deportivo reported earlier this month that Manchester City and Liverpool are keeping tabs on Yamal’s contractual situation at Barcelona — who could certainly be the perfect heir to £54.5 million man De Bruyne — despite being a wide forward due to being a bona fide match-winner like the Belgian has been for years.

The teenager’s current deal at his boyhood club runs out next year.

However, Yamal is unsurprisingly expected to be handed a bumper new contract and is willing to put pen to paper.
