Lamine Yamal put on a show in Barcelona’s Champions League clash with Inter Milan on Wednesday night.
The contest was one of the best games seen throughout the 2024/25 campaign as the Italian side stormed into a shock 2-0 lead, but that woke up Yamal, who was electric in creating a Barca response.
The 17-year-old pulled one back for his team and was involved in everything the Catalan side did afterwards, which led to a 3-3 draw, setting up an intriguing game at the San Siro next week.
Yamal has been wowing everyone since his displays last season for Barcelona and Spain, but his performance against Inter seemed to grab everyone’s attention, which included a certain Man City superstar.

Erling Haaland impressed with Lamine Yamal performance
Yamal has been having an incredible season for Barcelona, which has put him in contention to win the Ballon d’Or at just 17. The Spanish international has featured in 48 games for the Catalan club, producing 14 goals and 24 assists, adding another against Inter on Wednesday night.
Yamal is in the good books with everyone at Man City after he supported Rodri’s Ballon d’Or claim last year.
In turn, the Spanish midfielder has been saying good things about Yamal to Pep Guardiola, and it remains to be seen if the duo will work together in the future.
Another Man City star who seems to be impressed by the 17-year-old is Erling Haaland, who reacted to the youngster’s performance against Inter on his Snapchat, posting a picture of the winger on his screen with the caption: “This guy is incredible”.
This will not be the last time Yamal creates reactions such as this from Man City stars and others within the football world, and fans of the Manchester club will be hoping to see their own superstar back soon after he also posted an injury update.

Erling Haaland provides injury update
Man City have been without Haaland since the end of March after the Norwegian picked up an ankle injury in the Manchester club’s FA Cup quarter-final win over Bournemouth.
Guardiola was hoping to have the striker back before the end of the season and that now looks to be the case as Haaland has posted on his Snapchat story that he is back in full training at City.
Haaland has been providing updates on the platform throughout his journey, but this is the one Man City fans were waiting for as they hoped to have the 24-year-old back for the FA Cup final and FIFA Club World Cup.
Gametime will now be crucial for the striker in the build-up to the Wembley showpiece as the Man City superstar needs to build up his match fitness. If Guardiola has the time to do that, there is no doubt that Haaland will line up against Crystal Palace in the FA Cup final on May 17.
