Laughably good Erling Haaland stat emerges after Man City star scores another hat-trick for Norway

Manchester City may have struggled so far this season, but Erling Haaland has been as thirsty for goals as ever.

The Manchester City number nine has been one of Pep Guardiola’s best players in the first few months of the 2024/25 season, and has most definitely been doing his job.

Pretty much, he’s been the only source of goals this season for City, with the likes of Phil Foden, Savinho and Jack Grealish not yet scoring in the league.

City fans will hope the star can continue to thrive in front of goal for as long as possible.

It’s been no change for Haaland during the latest international break.

Haaland surpassed Diego Maradona’s international goal tally against Slovenia earlier this week, but the City star has now put considerable daylight between himself and the Argentine legend.

Tonight for Norway, Haaland scored yet another hat-trick. This time, against Kazakhstan.

Granted, he will face much tougher opposition this season – but you can never criticise a player for scoring a hat-trick.

In the 5-0 win, Haaland got his first on 23 minutes, following a saved shot by Kazakhstan goalkeeper Stas Pokatilov.

In the 37th minute, Haaland then got his second of the game, heading in to the far corner.

Haaland completed his hat-trick on 71 minutes and this was his most impressive goal of the night. He received a pass into feet on the half-turn and then spun away from the nearest defender before firing into the far corner on his weak foot.

This latest hat-trick now means that, incredibly, he has more hat-tricks for club and country than he’s spent years alive.

Haaland is out of this world

Fans of rival clubs will no doubt try to diminish Haaland’s exploits tonight due to the level of opposition.

But this was another fantastic display of finishing from the best number nine in the game.

To have scored 25 hat-tricks at this point in his career already is just incredible. There are some strikers who don’t even score 25 goals in their whole careers.

Haaland just makes the art of goalscoring look so easy when in reality, it is the hardest thing to do in football.

That is the mark of a truly extraordinary player, and City fans will just hope he sticks around at the Etihad Stadium for as long as possible.

It’s been reported that City are trying to pay Haaland £500,000 per week and extend his contract, and hopefully, an agreement will soon be reached.
