Aside from signing first-team players this summer, Manchester City have also made moves for a plethora of young players.
One of them is Caelan Kole-Cadamtieri, who has joined Manchester City from Sheffield Wednesday.
Another name that springs to mind is England’s U-17 captain Freddie Lawrie, who has signed for Manchester City as well.
However, even for Pep Guardiola’s side, it is natural to miss out on some youngsters, who favour other moves rather than heading to the Etihad Stadium.
Liverpool have signed Man City target Will Wright
Arsenal and Manchester City tried to sign Will Wright instead of Liverpool as they planned to hijack the move.
The 17-year-old, who is a striker by trade made four first-team appearances for Salford City.
However, Liverpool have announced the signing of Wright, who preferred to sign for the Premier League champions over both Manchester City and Arsenal.
Similarly, Seth Ridgeon extended his contract with Fulham despite the Sky Blues’ interest.

However, Pep Guardiola and Co perhaps have no reason to be overly concerned.
In Manchester City’s first-team, they have two bona fide goalscorers in Erling Haaland and Omar Marmoush and as a result, the chances of Wright breaking into their senior team would have always been unlikely if he had chosen to join them over Liverpool.
Even in the youth set-up, Reigan Heskey, who is a winger by trade scored 28 goals last season.
As a result, City may not be too upset about missing out on Wright’s addition.
